Have you experienced someone in your church or community returning from combat who is now isolating from family, Church, and community? Why is it that 70% of combat Veterans abandon their religious beliefs? However, studies show that these Veterans will come to their Pastors or community counsellors before coming to the VA. It is difficult for a civilian to understand the trauma faced by combat Veterans that they believe that no one cares or would understand if they told them.

The Veterans Administration is seeking to prepare community faith leaders and support workers to partner with them in reaching struggling Veterans. This 2-hour virtual training combines the VA offices of Suicide Prevention and Chaplain Services to present Suicide Awareness and Becoming a Partner in Care.
