Mental Health First Aid Training

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a public education program introducing participants to risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems, builds understanding of their impact and overviews specific supports.

MHFA teaches:

• Signs and symptoms of mental illness
• Impact of mental and substance use disorders
• 5-step action plan to assess a situation and help
• Local resources and where to turn for help

Participants must attend the 8-hour training to receive MHFA certificate. For more information, visit www.mentalhealthfirstaid.org
