Utah is consistently above the national average for suicide deaths. Currently ranked 6th highest rate in the nation, this graph shows our average number of suicides is 25.1 for every 100,000 Utahns age 10+ and the national average is 16.3 per 100,000.

Suicide statistics across the lifespan
Utah males had a significantly higher age-adjusted rate with 37.0 per 100,000, compared to Utah females with 12.0 per 100,000.
Utah adults ages 25-64 had the highest rate of suicide per 100,000 population.
