Campaign Partners

The Utah Suicide Prevention Coalition is a partnership of community members, suicide survivors, service providers, researchers, and others dedicated to saving lives and advancing suicide prevention efforts in Utah.

The Utah Suicide Prevention Coalition meets on the second Monday of every other month and is open to the public. The coalition is comprised of many individuals, organizations, and agencies dedicated to suicide prevention.

The Utah Suicide Prevention Coalition is dedicated to long-term suicide
prevention efforts. Our goal is to reduce suicide rates in Utah by 10%
by 2021 with the ultimate goal of zero suicides in Utah. Below is a link to our 2017-2021 strategic prevention plan.

Bear River Health Department

The Bear River Health Department (BRHD) is one of 13 local health departments that work to promote and protect the health of Utah’s residents. Their mission is to prevent disease, promote healthy lifestyles, and protect the community and environment for the residents of Box Elder, Cache, and Rich Counties.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a worldwide faith of over 16 million members, over 2 million of whom live in Utah. The Church is committed to preventing suicide and believes that mortal life is a precious gift—a gift that should be valued and protected.

Deseret Industries

Deseret Industries is a thrift store and donation center with 21 locations across the state of Utah. DI serves individuals and communities around the world through career development education, community partnerships, and humanitarian aid.

Huntsman Mental Health Institute, University of Utah

HMHI’s hospital facility (previously the University Neuropsychiatric Institute) offers a safe and healing environment and exceptional patient care throughout the Salt Lake Valley. Our researchers are a pioneering force in expanding the understanding of complex functions of the brain. Innovation has come from brain imaging and genetic studies related to addiction, suicide prevention, depression, and other disorders.

Intermountain Healthcare

Intermountain Healthcare is a Utah-based, not-for-profit system of 24 hospitals (includes “virtual” hospital), a Medical Group with more than 2,400 physicians and advanced practice clinicians at about 160 clinics, a health plans division called SelectHealth, and other health services. Helping people live the healthiest lives possible, Intermountain is widely recognized as a leader in clinical quality improvement and efficient healthcare delivery.

Latino Behavioral Health Services

LBHS is a nonprofit, grassroots organization created to minimize the disparities in access to mental health services among the underserved Latino population concentrated in Salt Lake County and the rest Utah. As an organization run by peers, LBHS exists to enhance the mental health awareness and well-being of people with mental illness, their care-givers and loved ones through support, education, empowerment, facilitation of resources and services with competent responsiveness to cultural, socio-economic and linguistic characteristics.

Northeastern Counseling Center

Northeastern Counseling Center was established in July, 1997, through an Interlocal agreement among the Daggett, Duchesne, and Uintah County Boards. The agency was formerly known as Uintah Basin Counseling and has been providing mental health and substance abuse services to the citizens of Northeastern Utah since the mid-eighties.

Salt Lake Chamber

The Salt Lake Chamber is Utah’s largest and longest-standing business association. A statewide chamber of commerce with members in all 29 Utah counties, the Chamber represents the broad interests of the state’s 63,000-plus employers, which employ more than 1.4 million Utahns. The Chamber exists, at its most fundamental level, to make Utah prosperous. Through their partnership with Live On, business receive resources related to mental fitness, resiliency, and suicide prevention tactics.

San Juan Counseling Center

The Mission of San Juan Counseling is to strenthen and maintain emotional wellbeing, growth and dignity for individuals and families in San Juan County by providing professional treatment, education and advocacy in a caring and collaborative manner.

Summit County Health Department

The Summit County Health Department is a founding member of the Summit County Mental Wellness Alliance: a community coalition of government entities, nonprofits, private businesses and citizens working to enhance the quality of life for all Summit County residents by improving community awareness of mental health & substance abuse, increasing access to effective treatment, and increasing effective prevention efforts.

Utah Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health

Weber Human Services

Weber Human Services (WHS), located in Ogden, Utah serves a growing urban population residing in Weber and Morgan Counties. We are an organization dedicated to helping those in need rebuild their lives and reach their full potential. Through dozens of human services programs, WHS helps thousands of its neighbors by supporting and empowering our most vulnerable groups including at-risk youth, the elderly, children, youth and adults suffering from mental illnesses, and those recovering from addictions.
